Glen Van Sant ready to launch his Formula 40 plane while his Son James is all set to fly it for him.

Control Line Speed Nats event results: Glen Van Sant wins Formula 40 (153.63mph), Dave Rigotti wins Fox 35 Stunt Speed (107.2mph), and Glen Van Sant also tops 21 Profile Proto Speed with a speed of 115.52mph, averaging over 100mph throughout the 14-lap race.

Today's AMA Fast 2D class had several good matches and zero complaints. Bill Maywald's engine destruction led to Neil Simpson taking the win with airtime. The final match between Jeff Johnson and Dave Fischer ended in a clean kill for Jeff, while Senior Class winner Sam Londke took top honors.

The July 9, 2025: Control Line Precision Aerobatics contest continued with a beautiful day of flying in cloudy skies and mid-60s temperatures. The top scorers from each class will move on to the next round, where they'll face new challenges and scoring systems.

RC helicopter pilots competed in various categories at the event, with scale competitions and freestyle flights showcasing their skills. The day ended on a bittersweet note as competitors bid farewell to each other, with some heading to Romania for future competitions.

The July 8, 2025 Control Line Scale events feature multiple CL events with varying rules and purposes. Pilots must demonstrate historical accuracy of full-size aircraft models during static judging and realistic flying characteristics during the flight competition.

The National Aerobatics Contest (Nats) took place on July 8, 2025, with various speed events including Perky Speed, 21 Sport Speed, and FAI/F2A Speed. The top winners included Patrick Hemple in Perky Speed, Bill Hughes in 21 Sport Speed and FAI/F2A Speed, with the latter being the fastest event of the day.

Two junior entrants participated in a Navy Carrier flying competition on July 8, 2025, with Wesley Smith (10) and Conner Smith (8) from North Carolina taking first and second places respectively. The event results were as follows: Sportsman Profile (Wesley 1st), Profile Carrier (Jo Shoemaker 1st), Electric Profile Carrier (Ebernz Angstrom 1st).

Control line combat events were held with excellent officiating by Dave Edwards, Arlene Mears, Matt Brown, Jerry Sabin, Arnie Delgado, Fred Quezada, and Chris Gay. Cary Minor won the championship, with Anna Minor taking top senior spot and Travis Machen as top junior.
